In late May 2006, the fods held their first ever international tour to Washington DC, Philadelphia and New York.
Thursday 25 May
The tour kicked off on Thursday: Daniel and Paul, who arrived a day early, were trolling around gay-Washington looking for breakfast only to bump into Jim who was about to collect his hire car and head for the airport in search of gay bellringers! First though, he gave the boys a tour of Dupont Circle.
At about 5 o’clock, Jim returned with Doug, Phil, Gregory, Paul Williams, Tiddy, JPA and Quiche Lorraine. For the next few days they would be staying at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel which is the size of a small country: it has 1,335 rooms, a gift shop, a business centre, a delicatessen, a Starbucks, a bar, and an "English" pub!

Old Post Office, 10 bells 26-1-13
The first ringing of the tour was at The Old Post Office tower where the fods joined the locals for their practice night. The ringing room is on the ninth floor and reached by a glass lift. It was particularly hot but had industrial-strength cooling fans.
